Site seeing

There were so many things to go see..

Top of my list was to go to the M&M store. And you know that big bag of M&Ms im holding is for me haha.

We found the NBC gift shop. Okay I LOVED this place. I got some Pysch stuff and you know that book Sleepy Kittens from Despicable Me?! Ya I got it for my niece.

The Rockefeller Building... Well where the shops are. We went up to the top of the rock too

It was awesome. It was fun seeing the whole city during the day because we had only seen it at night before this.

Radio City

A view of Central Park. It was huge.

Roaming around we found this little beauty. Finally got to see the company where my Wall Street Journal comes from!

We went in the Toys R Us store. Chris found his name tag...

Okay and im such a nerd, I know. But honestly one of the most exciting moments of this trip was finding Wall St.

And the NY Stock Exchange. I just wish we were there earlier in the day so I could see it in action. Good thing we went before all this 'Occupy Wall St' crap was happening.

We had to walk all over the city to find this little guy. But we found it. And I was not happy. First of all this was in the middle of the road! And people would not get out of the way so I could take a picture. It seriously took like 30 min to get this picture..

This is what it really looked like. And let me tell you, so tourist don't know how to move after their picture is taken. I was about to go crazy on some of them.

We ended our very eventful day at a Mets game. It was not nearly exciting as the Yankee game. They need help with their marketing efforts and getting the fans excited. Maybe a position I could move to New York for?! I wish!

Rumors of hurricanes

With the news that a hurricane was on its way, we couldn't waste one single night. First stop...

Empire State Building!

We got to go up to the top. It was amazing to see the whole city lit up at night.

Such a fun night :) You cant really tell in this picture but the sleeves of my shirt were flapping everywhere! I was so embarrassed, I looked like I had wings!! hah

And so the fun began :)

One of my favorite things about New York was the Metro. Love that thing!

It seriously took you anywhere and everywhere ya needed to go :)

The first day it was poring! Just my luck right? But that didn't stop us. First stop, Natural Museum of History.

This is the museum that is in 'Night at the Museum'. So cool. We had to walk around the whole building to find the entrance but it was definitely worth it.

While we walked around we ran into all of these beauties.. I mean what the heck is a bull moose dog run?!

Chris caught the magic of NY :)

Doesn't take much for me and Chris to be entertained... hah

We spent so much time in that museum but it was tons of fun. Whenever we thought that we were about done, we would find a new room we hadn't been to.

Entry way to the museum.

Dum dum give me gum gum.

The museum is right off of Central Park so of course we had to make our first trip there :) I LOVE that park. I wish I had more time to spend exploring it.

After a long day of walking all over the museum, we needed some grub. Chris was so excited to get a hot dog from one of the little cart things.

He ordered the jumbo hot dog and it was seriously the smallest hot dog ive ever seen! So funny... at least he got the experience right?!

Yankees!!!

So we finally made it to NY and then it happened.. I fell in LOVE! With NY of course :) We didn't want to waste our first night in the Big Apple so we took the Metro and went up to the Yankee game.
So.Much.Fun.

I don't think we could have started off the trip any better!

The new Yankee stadium was so beautiful!

There were so many fans too. Which was super fun for the atmosphere but let me tell ya... I have NEVER had to stand up so many dang times to let people go by in my life! I think they all planned it hah.

After the game we took the Metro back to our hotel but stopped at a little grocery store thing on the way back. Totally had a convo with the cashier about the game and I am pretty sure I blended into the whole NY scene :)

The beginnings

We didn't want to waste a whole day sitting on a plane going to NY so we got a super early flight. (At this time 4am was early to me, now 4am is just a regular day). But the morning was not good to me. See...

We kinda got a little restless on our flight.
This is how Chris looks when he gets tired. Beware!
The flight was so long I guess I turned into a morphed beaver or something hah
Anyways, I found out that Photo Booth can provide a little bit of flight entertainment.

And the worse blogger award goes to...

ME! So I have been absolutely awful about updating this but I am going to try at it again :) But I have to back it up to my New York trip cuz that was the most amazing trip ever! (Well besides the hurricane we got stuck in...hah) More to come... unless I get distracted bah.

Nothing Exciting

So I haven't blogged in a while because I have no cool pictures of things that I have been doing. Not that any of it is too exciting. haha.

I am back at Costco for the time being working in the bakery. I have been applying for a bunch of jobs though so hopefully one will come up soon that will allow me to use my education. The bakery isn't so bad, just not where I want to be right now.

I have also been going to the gym everyday and dieting. Ugh. But it is paying off. I started a month ago yesterday and have lost 9 pounds :). Hopefully by the time I go to New York I can lose 20 more. Still a lot of work ahead of me with that but at least I am already making progress.

Im also getting ready to take the GMAT. I am going to be applying for grad school and should start in January if I get in. I have everything all ready to go except my GMAT scores. Applications are accepted from August 1st on so I have a little bit of time.

I am going to Idaho to visit next month so I should have pictures from that when I get back :) Everything else is just too boring to take pics of hah.

Best graduation present ever :)

So after graduation, my family and I got to go to a cabin at Big Bear Lake for a few days. To sum it up... SO MUCH FUN! We pretty much ate, played games, ate, relaxed and ate some more! Haha good thing our diets all start tomorrow! Its way fun when everyone gets together. We played several games but rollick was definitely the family favorite. Seeing Mom act our barmitsfa or iguana or Scott act out boogieman had to be some of my favorites.

Here are some pictures from the trip.

This is our cute little cabin. I loved it there!

The whole fam in front of the cabin. I had to set the camera up on my tripod and sprint back to my place. hah I got quite the work out :)

Jen and her cute little family.

These crazies. hah

We had fun taking pictures while Jen and Scott were getting the baby changed.

Our family picture without Jen...

Jen and Holly.

Holly was laughing like crazy when we were taking pictures. She must have thought something about the camera or the click was pretty funny!

We were all laughing because she was loving it so much.

She sure is a cute baby.

We are pretty much best friends! I love that little girl!

On our way up the mountain, we all got a bit car sick. We had to take some stops so that we all didn't vomit. This was at one of those stops.

We went into "the village" before we went to the cabin. There were little shops every where but a lot of it seemed to be closed since we were there on a Wednesday afternoon.

Chris and I found the night club too bad it wasn't night time when we were there hah!
It was a nice little town. Im not used to blue skys anymore so it was quite refreshing to see the skys and sun again :)

There was a store called Stupidiotic. It had a bunch of random things in there but I thought this sign was so funny! Haha It was just in the front window. I think Im gonna go put fliers around La Habra like this :)

We found this cool hand bench thing so naturally we had to take pictures on it.

This whole trip was super fun. There's nothing like spending a couple of days with some of your favorite people. This trip is definitely going to have to happen again!

Done with school!!

So... I graduated college one week ago and what do I have to show for it? My room is still covered in boxes, still don't have hangers for any of my clothes, still haven't gone back to work and still am yet to figure out my life! With that being said... life hasn't been too shabby back in SoCal so far. I mean I miss Idaho but I'm trying to keep a positive attitude. :)

Back to graduation. I graduated in business management with an emphasis in supply chain. I am yet to get a supply chain job but I am going to be on the job hunt. Im not really partial to living back here in Orange County so hopefully I can find a job somewhere new and have a new adventure. Im open to anything! Here are some pictures from graduation. My parents flew to Salt Lake and drove up with my Grandma and Grandpa Sparks. It was fun having them all share this accomplishment with me.

After I walked at convocation :)

In front of the Smith building. I pretty much lived there most semesters. (Business building)

In front of the Spori. I took almost all of my communication classes here. My clusters were in advertising and digital media.

President Clark spoke at convocation and commencement. I got to shake his hand right before I got my diploma (cover thing hah). He is pretty much amazing!

My mom had a bad knee the whole time and couldn't walk around. We got her a wheelchair and pushed her around everywhere. She sure does like to make a scene. Haha... jk

Me and the parents. I graduated!! Who would have thought that this would finally come?!

Grandma and Grandpa Sparks came up for it too!

Me and Emily. We lived together for almost 2 years straight. Its been a good time :) Hah who knows how were going to survive now?!

Went to take pictures of the Rexburg temple with my dad after I walked on Friday night. I sure am gonna miss this place!

After all is said and done, the last two and a half years have been amazing. I have learned a tremendous amount through the Spirit, the people I have met, the teachers I have had and the experiences I have had. I have been so blessed and I wouldn't change the last two years for anything!
